I came across a need the other day to find an old post I made on Facebook. I knew I posted it a few years ago but that was about it. I started messing around with Facebook’s search bar and realized how quickly you could perform advanced searches by just typing.
Let’s start searching some Facebook:
To start off, search for something you posted with certain words:
posts by doug dragon data
After you select the search, you’ll notice an advanced search section to the right of the search results.
You can filter by
- Author
- Post Type
- Text, Location
- Tagged people
- Commenter
- Liker
Just below this list is a “SEE MORE FILTERS” link that will display EVEN MOAR filters so you can get as granular as you like.
With all the granularity you should be able to find pretty much anything you’re looking for in a previous post.
